Virtual Chips Policy
Effective 26 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-26
This Virtual Chips Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It explains what virtual chips are on The Poker Tribe and the rules that keep the platform strictly play-for-fun.
1. What virtual chips are
The Poker Tribe is exclusively a social entertainment platform. Virtual chips are game tokens used only to play poker on The Poker Tribe. Hosts allocate them when a game starts, and they move between players only according to the rules of each hand. Chips are free: they are never sold, and nobody needs to pay anything to receive or use them.
2. No monetary value
- Virtual chips have no monetary value and are not money, currency, e-money, a deposit, a voucher, a security or property of any kind.
- Chips cannot be purchased, sold, redeemed, cashed out or exchanged for money, cryptocurrency, goods, services, gift cards, points or anything else of value, whether through us or anyone else.
- Winning chips is not a financial gain, and losing chips is not a financial loss.
- Chips cannot be transferred outside the Service, and in-game chip gifts are gameplay actions only.
3. Prohibited uses
The following are strictly prohibited, both on and off the platform:
- real-money wagering, betting or staking of any kind on games played on The Poker Tribe;
- external monetary settlements of game results, including by UPI, bank transfer, cash, cryptocurrency, payment apps or any other means;
- offering, promising, paying or claiming cash prizes or prizes of value for game results;
- buying, selling, trading, redeeming or exchanging chips, accounts or seats for anything of value;
- using ledgers, results, screenshots or chip balances to record, calculate or demand money owed;
- advertising or promoting any of the above through table names, chat, invitation links or other content.
4. Ledgers and results
Session ledgers represent virtual-chip accounting only. Ledgers, hand histories and results are gameplay records that help players follow a game. They are not invoices, debts, payment instructions or evidence of any financial obligation, and must never be used as such.
5. Our control over chips
We may allocate, reset, adjust, correct or remove virtual chips at any time, for example to fix a technical error or at the end of a game. Because chips have no value, these changes do not give rise to any monetary claim or compensation.
6. Enforcement and reporting
If we reasonably believe the Service is being used for real-money wagering, external settlements, cash prizes or chip redemption, we may close the tables involved, remove content, and suspend or terminate the accounts concerned, and we may report the activity to the relevant authorities. You can report suspected misuse through our Contact page by choosing "Grievance / Report Misuse".
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For material changes we will update the version and effective date shown above and ask you to accept the updated policies before your next game.
