Terms of Service

Effective 26 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-26

Play-money only. The Poker Tribe is a play-money-only social poker platform intended for entertainment and recreational play. The platform does not offer real-money wagering, gambling, cash prizes or monetary rewards. Virtual chips can never be bought, sold, redeemed or settled for money.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and the operator of The Poker Tribe identified in Section 21 ("we", "us"). By creating an account, continuing as a guest or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Virtual Chips Policy, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Before your first game you will be asked to confirm this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and age requirements

You must be at least 18 years old, or any higher age required in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You will be asked to confirm this before you play. We may suspend accounts if we reasonably believe a user does not meet this requirement.

3. Availability only where legally permitted

The Service is intended for users in India and other countries where free-to-play social poker with play money is lawful. Laws on online games differ and may change. You are responsible for making sure your use is lawful where you are. We do not claim that the Service is lawful, approved or registered in every jurisdiction, and we may restrict access in any location. Nothing in these Terms is a statement that the Service is registered with, or approved by, any government authority.

4. Play-money-only nature of the Service

The Poker Tribe is a play-money-only social poker platform intended for entertainment and recreational play. The platform does not offer real-money wagering, gambling, cash prizes or monetary rewards. The Service does not support deposits, withdrawals, payouts, purchases of chips or any monetary settlement, and no entry fee or stake of money or money's worth is required to play. No cash prizes, monetary rewards, gift cards or other prizes of value are offered for any game result.

5. Virtual chips and their limitations

  • All chips, stacks, balances and winnings are virtual and exist only within the Service.
  • Virtual chips have no monetary value and are not money, currency, e-money, a deposit or property.
  • Virtual chips cannot be bought, sold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash, cryptocurrency, goods, services, gift cards or anything of monetary value, by us or by anyone else.
  • Chip winnings are not real financial winnings.
  • You do not acquire ownership or any monetary or property right over virtual chip balances. We may reset, adjust or remove chips, for example to correct errors or at the end of a game.
  • Player-to-player chip balances, gifts and ledgers are gameplay records only. They are not debts, financial obligations or payment instructions, and must not be treated as such.

6. Guest accounts and registered accounts

You may play as a guest by choosing a display name, or register an account. Guest access is linked to your browser through a cookie and may be lost if cookies are cleared or you change device or browser; a guest browser is not equivalent to a registered account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account or guest session. Provide accurate information, do not impersonate others, and do not create accounts to evade restrictions.

7. User responsibilities

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal and non-commercial entertainment, to follow these Terms and table rules, to treat other players with respect, and not to interfere with the Service, its security or other users' enjoyment.

8. Private tables and invitation links

Hosts can create private tables protected by invitation links, room codes or passwords. Anyone holding a valid link or code may be able to request access or view the table, and completed results may be viewable by anyone holding the results link. Share links only with people you intend to invite. You must not share, sell or publish invitation links to promote off-platform wagering.

9. Game settings and host permissions

The host of a table controls its settings, such as blinds, game type, timers, seat and top-up approvals, pausing and ending the game. Hosts must exercise these controls fairly and must not use them to facilitate real-money wagering or harassment. We may override host settings or close tables that breach these Terms.

10. Poker rules, results and technical errors

Games are run by our servers using the rules and settings shown at the table. The server's record of each hand is the authoritative result. If a malfunction, connectivity problem or error affects a hand, we may void, correct or replay it, or adjust virtual chips. Because chips have no value, such corrections do not give rise to any monetary claim. Disconnections may result in automatic folds or sitting out under the table's timers.

11. Fair play and prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • use bots, scripts, solvers or real-time assistance software, or any unauthorised automation, scraping or interception;
  • cheat, collude, soft-play, chip-dump or share hole-card information with other players during a hand;
  • exploit bugs or vulnerabilities (please report them through Feedback instead);
  • attempt to access accounts, tables, data or admin functions without authorisation, or probe, overload or disrupt the Service;
  • create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage or evade a suspension;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

12. Prohibition of real-money wagering

You must not use the Service to organise, facilitate, advertise or settle real-money wagers, bets or stakes of any kind. This includes external monetary settlements (for example by UPI, bank transfer, cash, cryptocurrency or any payment app), side payments, chip sales or purchases, offering or claiming cash prizes, redeeming or exchanging chips for anything of value, and treating ledgers, results or chip balances as amounts owed. We may suspend or terminate accounts and close tables involved in such activity and may report it to the relevant authorities.

13. User-generated content and acceptable communication

You are responsible for display names, table names, chat messages and other content you submit. Content must not be unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, defamatory, infringing or misleading, and must not contain other people's personal information or promote gambling. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display your content as needed to operate the Service. We may remove content and mute or restrict users who breach these rules. Hosts can disable chat at their tables.

14. Responsible play

The Service is for entertainment. Take regular breaks, set yourself time limits, and keep play enjoyable and social. You can sit out or leave a table at any time. If gaming is affecting your wellbeing, relationships or responsibilities, stop playing and consider seeking support from a qualified professional. Harassment, pressure to keep playing and abusive conduct are not allowed. Report concerns through our Contact page.

15. Intellectual property

The Service, including The Poker Tribe name, logo, artwork, design, software and content (other than user content), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service under these Terms. Do not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works except as permitted by law.

16. Feedback submissions and attachments

If you send feedback, suggestions or attachments, you confirm you have the right to share them and that they do not contain malware or unlawful material. Please avoid including other players' personal information. We may use feedback to improve the Service without obligation or payment to you. Attachments are stored privately and handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

17. Account suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account through the Contact page. We may suspend, restrict or terminate access, remove content or close tables if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users or the Service. Where reasonable we will tell you why. Completed game records that other players rely on may be retained in de-identified form.

18. Service availability and changes

The Service is provided free of charge and may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time, including for maintenance. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every location.

19. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for loss of virtual chips, game results or data, or for the conduct of other users. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
